The KGM 500 is a Broadway market index used to track the overall health of the market based on the grosses of 5 long-running shows. This week, the KGM 500 rose to $8,120,835, a 3.5% increase from the previous week. While there was a decline in the overall grosses this week, Broadway’s capacity remains strong. The closure of shows (Pirates, Sunset Boulevard) will naturally bring the market total lower, however the legacy shows are continuing to steadily climb through the summer season. Below, you’ll find a metric to track each show’s performance in relation to the benchmark of the KGM 500.
This week, the average paid admission across all Broadway shows dipped slightly to $128.01, a 2.6% decrease from last week’s average.
