The KGM 500 is a Broadway market index used to track the overall health of the market based on the grosses of 5 long-running shows. This week, the KGM 500 dipped slightly to $6,920,208, as harsh weather conditions continued to keep New Yorkers at home. While the industry endures this annual winter slump, attendance this week (231,705) was still 13% higher than this week last season (205,020).
The Average Ticket Price graph shows a comparison of ATP for new musicals and plays that opened in the 2024/25 season. This week, ATP for new musicals came to $109.62 with the addition of Buena Vista Social Club. ATP for new plays sunk to $105.57 following the closing of All In: A Comedy About Love, Romeo + Juliet, and Eureka Day.
