4. Julianne Wick Davis – Engaging the Next Generation of Writers

Today’s guest is accomplished musical theatre writer Julianne Wick Davis. Most recently, her musical Trevor (with Dan Collins) emerged triumphant from the 2020 shutdown with a streaming deal with Disney Plus. Julianne talks with us about where the seeds of her shows begin, balancing writing and life, working with the next generation of MT writers, and the miracle that moved Trevor from Covid-shutdown to Disney streaming. Julianne shares why she likes to compose in A flat, her storied history with the sound of a football game on TV, and two gorgeous songs from Trevor.
